Born in Çanakkale, Psychologist Nilay Özkan graduated from the Department of Psychology at Yeditepe University in 2015. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at Yeditepe University Hospital, Dreams Academy, Darülaceze Nursing Home, and Erenköy Mental and Neurological Hospital, gaining experience in various fields. She participated in patient interviews, group therapy sessions, rounds, and therapy sessions with expert psychologists and psychiatrists in psychosis wards. She also participated in psychoeducational workshops with children affected by the earthquake, supervised by Dr. Mehmet Zihni Sungur.
Following graduation, she participated in the "Psychology of Siblings of Sick Children" project and served as a board member of the Association for the Survival of Premature Babies. She continues to provide individual counseling and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults, and also provides family counseling services.
